Led by Rita Meier MSEd, CYT 500

Workshop | January 22
12:15 - 5:15pm | $83 | registration requested

This is a special workshop focusing on strengthening and coordinating the muscles of the core and the pelvic floor.

On opposite ends of the spectrum, the pelvic floor can be either too tight or too lax. Both can cause a host of issues including incontinence and pain. One in four women suffer from pelvic floor issues according to a study by NIH.

A number of factors contribute to weak pelvic floor muscles including: age, pregnancy, childbirth, diet, posture and medications.

Participants have shown improved bladder control contributing to an improved quality of life. This workshop uses a holistic approach to identify and strengthen key muscles of the core and pelvic floor.

A must for every woman - the information, candid discussion, and yoga poses are invaluable tools! Women have reported dramatic results leading to an improved quality of life.

First, develop awareness of the pelvic floor, then improve the strength of the pelvic floor. Finally, learn how to safely incorporate pelvic floor work into your yoga practice.
