ZEN Zone helps kids… to become more aware of breathing and yoga postures as they relate to feeling calm and relaxed, not stressed out and sluggish.
Zen Zone is a therapeutic yoga program designed to support children that have learning and emotional challenges such as immature motor skills, difficulty relating to others, poor ability to initiate, poor short term memory, distractibility, heightened sensitivity, extreme emotion, immune difficulty, and digestive difficulty. In this therapeutic yoga program the children will wake-up or calm down, get organized in their bodies and generate the brain chemicals necessary for attention and retention. Participation in Zen Zone will help reset the child’s nervous system to shift from survival mode to thrive mode. This transition allows a sense of calm and inner control allowing the child to interact with others in a new way.
