Join us on select Saturdays each month as for our ongoing series of powerfully transformational gong and singing bowl meditations.

This hour long guided gong meditation will feature three large gongs, four Burmese whirling gongs (Kezees), and several Himalayan singing bowls from Nepal.  Combined, these guide participants on a powerful sonic meditative journey into otherworldly realms, making this an ideal vehicle for personal transformation and healing.

Marian will give a brief description and introduction of the gongs as well as the intention that drives his sound immersions.  This event is geared toward giving you a chance to “let go” and meditation with the instruments providing an energetic and relaxing sonic backdrop.  While we will not be practicing yoga asana (postures) we recommend that you wear comfortable clothing.

About Marian

Born in former communist ruled Czechoslovakia and raised in “West” Germany, from a young age Marian was enthralled with nature and the inherent order of the Universe. This fascination resulted in his growing desire to express beauty and harmony through light and sound. After spending 20 years in the corporate world, he began his career as a professional architectural and fine art photographer in the Chicago area in 1999. By being a long time hand drummer, he expanded his creative repertoire by expressing images also through the sound of gongs.

By maneuvering through the integration of three very different countries and cultures, and by embracing continuous sobriety since 1990, Marian possesses a heightened sensitivity and awareness to the process of inner growth and transformation. As a student and practitioner of metaphysics for over thirty years, he presents sound excursions by playing three large gongs and several Himalayan singing bowls. With these he generates a broad spectrum of fascinating rhythms and functional harmonics by exploring the full range of frequencies within his instruments ranging from shimmering explosive highs to deep mysterious lows. His meditative and transformative sound journeys are driven by his innate rhythmic hand drum abilities and keen sense of visual and intuitive perception. The result is that these sonic, vibrational and mystical characteristics energize and quiet the mind & body in a very unique fashion. His gong sound meditations are psychoacoustic gateways to higher states of awareness and consciousness. They provide spaces for inner healing while taking listeners into truly otherworldly realms.

Marian is a member of the Sound Healers Association and refines his advanced interpretation and application of gong sound healing under the guidance of senior instructor, lecturer and teacher Mitch Nur, PhD of 9waysacademia. Mitch has spent well over 35 years as a Sacred Sound Practitioner and Teacher. He is one of the foremost authorities on Sacred Sound instruments and applications as they pertain to ritual, shamanic healing, meditation, ceremony, and personal transformation.
