Fundamentals of Yoga —Beginners

This progressive 6 week introductory course, taught by Meredith Harbour & Donna Prenta, is designed for students new to yoga to explore the basics, develop strength, balance, and flexibility and experience the peace of mind yoga promises. In this class we will cover:

  • the fundamental poses
  • diaphragmatic breathing
  • grounding
  • alignment
  • meditation
  • the energy body
  • the rich history and tradition of yoga

Upon completion of this series you will be ready to take any level yoga class or develop a safe personal practice tailored to your current age, health and lifestyle. 
People of every fitness level, from the tri-athlete to the sedentary individual can participate in this course in a safe, fun and caring environment.
